Thank you, Joe Sobek. This is fun...

I highly doubt that Joe Sobek could have ever imagined what the game he invented would evolve into.  The game was initially played with paddles; racquets on today's market are more like super-sonic slingshots.  Like training a hunting dog to adapt to the sound of a gun, it's important to expose beginning players to what a racquetball game sounds like.  The crack of the ball hitting the walls (or skipping off the floor), the acoustics of on-the-court dialogue, and the essential use of racquetball terminology during play; all of these aspects of the game are not learned over night.  To become accustomed to the game, one must learn some basic rules of physics and how to compete with good sportsmanship.  Each player brings to the court a different perspective of the game.  For some, it's a calming way to relieve the stress of a tough work day, for others, it's just plain fun.  Whatever the reason, it's a highly competitive game meant to be enjoyed with friends.
